Bishop Carlton L. Williams was born and raised in Wilson, North Carolina where he received his preparatory education. His pos-secondary education studies include Livingstone College, Salisbury, North Carolina with a major in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology. Then he attended Fruitland Bible College, Henderson, North Carolina.
Bishop Carlton L. Williams is the son of the late Bishop Millus and Nina Williams, who taught him to love GOD and His Church. It was at the church of his childhood Calvary United Holy Church that Bishop Carlton L. Williams received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life. It was his sensitivity to GOD and his passion for ministry that caused him to embrace his Pastoral and Apostolic Assignment. Bishop Carlton L. Williams was ordained a Deacon in 1991, an Elder in 1994 in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and in 2016 Consecrated to the Order of The Episcopacy in the Lords Church.
Bishop Carlton L. Williams served as Senior Pastor in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church for more than 12yrs then transitioned to serve as Staff Pastor (Pastor of Operations) for the Truth Tabernacle Ministries for 4yrs.
It was 2012 that Bishop Williams answered that Call of God to go to Roanoke Rapids, NC and Church Plant Roanoke Family Community Church. A Church "Sharing Christ, Strengthening Believers and Saving Lives" through "Christ Centered Teaching, Commitment to Discipleship and Cultivated Relationships."
Bishop Williams believes God has granted him the Grace and skills needed to assist those who sense the Call of God to Church Plant; so in 2015 Bishop Williams and the Roanoke Family Community Church answered the Call of God to walk along side Pastor Jaquarrence Knight in Church Planting Reaping the Harvest Ministries, Sarotoga, NC; then on the first Sunday of January 2017 Bishop Williams and the Roanoke Family Community Church launched their second church plant in Roanoke Rapids, NC that is totally Spanish speaking lead by Pastor Ciro Tapia and June 2017 Bishop Williams and the Roanoke Family Community Church answered the Call of God to walk along side Pastor Jermine Williams in Church Planting Greater Praise Outreach Ministries, Elm City, NC.
Bishop Williams is the Executive Director of the Roanoke Family Center (a community base organization that serves the needs of Roanoke Rapids and surrounding cities along with Halifax County).
Bishop Williams is a gifted teacher/preacher who provides Leadership Training and Spiritual Guidance to many throughout the Body of Christ both nationally and internationally.
Bishop Carlton L Williams humbly submits to his Spiritual Covering Apostle Aaron B. McNair, Sr. the Presiding Prelate of Life Changing Ministries International Fellowship where Bishop Williams is honored to serve as Chairperson of the Presbyter Council.
Bishop Williams is married to the former Celestine Greene and together they are the proud parents of five sons and one daughter.
